Maine Molecular Quality Controls, Inc. (MMQCI) founded in 2000 (Maine, USA), primarily designs and produce high-quality molecular controls for emerging nucleic acid technologies, notably for use in inherited diseases, infectious diseases, and pharmacogenetics. The quality controls are intended to provide confidence in test results by monitoring the entire molecular diagnostic test process, including the nucleic acid extraction, amplification and detection steps.

Their quality controls are specifically designed for intended to be used solely with commercial test panels and systems that are frequently used for molecular diagnosis, such as BioFire FilmArray®, Cepheid GeneXpert®, GenMark Dx eSensor®, Luminex Verigene® and Curetis Unyvero A50.
